UPDATE: Additional proceedings scheduled for Wisconsin man accused of having sexual encounters with a child

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 25-year-old Wisconsin man who faces accusations of having multiple sexual encounters with a 14-year-old girl he met online was in court on Tuesday.

Court records show that Samael Torres appeared by video from the Ozaukee County Jail with his attorney present in court.

The Counsel requested additional time to discuss with the District Attorney, and further proceedings have been scheduled for Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – The 25-year-old Wisconsin man accused of having multiple encounters with a 14-year-old girl he met on a social media app was back in court on Thursday.

Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that Samael Torres appeared by video with an attorney on behalf of Judge Sandy Williams, and further proceedings were scheduled. The court update says the counsel is awaiting some discovery from the State.

Torres will return to the Ozaukee County Courthouse on October 15 at 10:00 a.m. for further proceedings.

GRAFTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A southeastern Wisconsin man accused of having multiple encounters with a 14-year-old girl he met on social media was back in court on Thursday.

Court records show that 25-year-old Samael Torres was in court via video for further proceedings where the counsel requested additional time as they are waiting on forensics.

Torres is due back in court for further proceedings on August 15 at 10 a.m.

Wisconsin man arrested for child sexual assault, exploitation enters not guilty plea

GRAFTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A southeastern Wisconsin man arrested for allegedly having multiple encounters with a 14-year-old girl he met on social media was in court on Monday.

25-year-old Samael Torres appeared in court with an attorney for a preliminary hearing in which testimony was heard from by Detective Gehm.

Court records show that the court found probable cause and a not guilty plea was entered. Torres is scheduled to be back in court for further proceedings on May 14 at 10:00 a.m.

GRAFTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A cyber tip warning for possible child pornography led to the arrest of a southeastern Wisconsin man who allegedly had multiple encounters with a 14-year-old girl he met on social media.

The cyber tip was flagged in late December 2022 by the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

According to the Village of Grafton Police Department, 25-year-old Samael Torres was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child, Child Enticement-Sexual Contact, and two other felonies.

Officers say that an investigation into Torres, who is from Mount Pleasant, revealed that Torres allegedly met the 14-year-old victim on social media.

The release notes that Torres and the girl met at her residence and “engaged in sex acts on multiple occasions,” one of which was allegedly recorded and posted online, triggering an alert to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Court records show that Torres signed a cash bond of $100,000 and has been charged with the following felonies:

  • Use a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime
  • Child Sexual Exploitation – Employ, Use, Induce
  • 2 counts of: 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of Child
  • 2 counts of: Child Enticement – Sexual Contact

“This is an example of exemplary police work,” said Chief Jeff Caponera, Grafton Police Department. “Detective Gehm received a video tip with nearly no information, worked tirelessly and was able to use investigative tools to identify the victim and Torres.”

Torres has a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 18.
