Broadway pros showcase hair and makeup magic in Center Stage Workshop

(WFRV) – Students in the Center Stage High School Musical Theater Program got a behind-the-scenes look at the world of theater hair and makeup in a workshop with professionals from the touring Broadway show Mrs. Doubtfire.

The event focused on the artistry involved in rapid costume and character transformations, a key element in many stage productions.

Aria Durso and Lainne Davis, the heads of Mrs. Doubtfire’s hair and makeup team, lead the workshop. They demonstrated wig prep basics hands-on and shared insights into prosthetics and mask techniques used in the production.

In addition to their technical expertise, Durso and Davis discussed their journeys in the theater industry and offered valuable advice on the different career paths available in theater arts.
