GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office has shared an overview of its operations in 2024, highlighting a busy and productive year.
Dispatch received 32,830 calls, averaging approximately 89.94 daily, with 14,294 calls handled directly by the sheriff’s office. The 911 center logged 10,522 emergency calls (1.57 per hour), 57,646 administrative line calls, and 4,283 911 hangups—each requiring a law enforcement response regardless of intent.

In terms of traffic incidents, the county recorded:
- 556 vehicle vs. deer crashes
- 606 property damage-only crashes
- 75 crashes resulting in injuries
- 242 slide-offs
- 4 fatal crashes
UTV incidents were relatively low, with seven personal injury crashes and four property damage-only crashes reported. Notably, no fatal UTV crashes occurred in 2024.
The Grant County Jail processed 1,174 bookings over the year, averaging approximately 45 bookings per day.
