Two rounds of light snow: this evening and tomorrow afternoon

The latest northeast Wisconsin forecast from Storm Team 5…

Sunshine was replaced with cloud coverage as we progressed throughout this afternoon. Highs cooled down slightly from yesterday into the middle and upper teens.

A warm front is moving across the state and while this boundary is relatively moisture starved, it is providing enough lift for a few light showers or flurries. Expecting our chances to see some scattered light snow or flurries to increase after 7pm out west, ending by around midnight along the lakeshore.

Temperatures will be at their coolest this evening in the mid teens, but as the front pushes in milder air, we will see temperature rise to around 20 early tomorrow morning.

Most of your Saturday will be spent cloudy and breezy with highs briefly milder into the low to mid 30s. Cold front moves through during the middle afternoon bringing with it some scattered snow showers. Winds will be gusting throughout the day around 20-25mph, but as the front zips through, a few gusts could reach 35mph. Snowfall amounts, about a dusting to 1″, but enough to bring a few slippery spots on the roads.

Overnight, clouds will slowly scatter away but cool air rushes in behind the front, so lows will drop into the single digits, with wind chills about -10 to -15 early Sunday morning.

Mostly sunny skies on Sunday, but with temperatures into the single digits for the morning and a breezy NW wind, highs pop up to our seasonal average into the mid 20s.

Monday will feature mostly cloudy skies but the winds will be very gusty, closing in on 40mph. However, this will help send temperatures into the middle and upper 30s, possible reaching 40! Watching for a snowmaker to bring a dusting to around an inch of snow late Monday night into Tuesday with a few lingering flakes Wednesday. Temperatures though will cool back to normal in this timeframe also.
