One in Wisconsin dead after crashing into power pole

LINCOLN, Wis. (WFRV) – A person in Western Wisconsin died on Friday night after crashing into a power pole off the road.

According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, a report came in around 6:16 p.m. on Friday regarding a vehicle that crashed into a power pole on Schansberg Road near Qually Lane in the Township of Lincoln.

Responders saw a vehicle that got off the road and struck a power pole with one person inside. The person was unresponsive without a pulse and was subsequently extracted from the car and immediately transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The driver was pronounced dead at the hospital.
