(WFRV) – A fourth person involved in a fentanyl death that occurred in Ripon in April 2023 has been sentenced to a 20-year prison term.

According to a release from the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office, 19-year-old Donavyn Mueller, who was 17 at the time of the incident, was one of five people charged in the fentanyl death of an 18-year-old Ripon man.

The investigation revealed that the chain of delivery started with Mueller, who gave fentanyl to Kyle Lamb (dead), to Joseph Schmidt-Rehbein and Mason Springston, and to the victim.

“The Ripon Police Department did an exceptional job investigating this death to help the family receive justice by climbing three layers deep in the chain of delivery of this fentanyl death, which is rare,” District Attorney Eric J. Toney said in a release. “Their dedication and hard work has taken another dangerous drug dealer off our streets.”
