Teacher in Kaukauna arrested after police confiscate personal devices, investigation underway

KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – A teacher at St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy was arrested on Wednesday after his devices were confiscated by authorities.

St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy Headmaster Drew Mulloy reported in a release that a 7th-12th-grade teacher was arrested by the Appleton Police Department.

According to the release, the Appleton Police Department is investigating further after the devices were confiscated. Preliminary reports indicate that no students have been identified in the situation.

Officials with the school are cooperating, and the teacher has since been placed on administrative leave. The release added that the teacher passed all background and reference checks when hired.
