Tracking Draft Day rain chances

The latest Northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Low pressure sitting our northwest brought an isolated t-storm to the area this morning, followed by a big warm up as high reached the 70s for most away from the water.

The moisture and warm air together are bringing in the energy and strength needed to fuel development of thunderstorms so if you are headed to Draft City Music fest, expect the chance to see an isolated thunderstorm roll by, mainly 5-9pm is the window. Main impacts will be gusty winds, brief downpours and at the worst, some small hail.

Overnight, we will begin quiet, however light to moderate showers will move in late overnight and through early tomorrow morning.

By then, on the back side of this cold front, it will turn our winds back out of the north, which will start to slowly bring in cooler temps, more or less back to normal in the upper 50s and low 60s.

There will be a slight chance to see a stray shower move right over Lambeau for the start of the Draft tomorrow when the complex opens at noon, but the rest of our Thursday will be dry besides a passing sprinkle.

Overnight after round 1 comes to a close and into early Friday, widespread light to moderate rain will move in. This rain should exit by the early afternoon. You will notice a chill in the air, with highs only around 50.

Finally by Saturday, the Draft will wrap up with a day of mostly sunny skies.
