GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department is investigating a woman’s death after her body was recovered from the East River on Wednesday evening.
According to a report from the Green Bay Police, officers were sent to an area near the 500 block of Eastman Avenue around 4:45 p.m. after a person said they found a body in the water.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department assisted police in removing the woman’s body around 5:15 p.m.

The cause of the death is unknown, but officials believe no danger to the public is present.
