OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The $197.8 million referendum that would begin the second phase of the Oshkosh Area School District’s facilities consolidation plan passed after 50.9% of voters said yes during Tuesday’s Spring General Election.
The referendum was approved in January by the District’s Board of Education, which placed it on the ballot for Tuesday’s election.
The major pieces of the phase include a new consolidated middle school at the Shapiro site, a new auditorium at Oshkosh North High School, and air conditioning at Emmeline Cook, Lakeside, and Read Elementary Schools.
