5 people hurt, 5 vehicles damaged in Green Bay hit-and-run, police investigating

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Green Bay say they are investigating a hit-and-run crash after five people were hurt and multiple vehicles were left damaged over the weekend.

According to a release from the Green Bay Police Department, officers responded just before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday to the 1700 block of Main Street for reports of a crash.

Witnesses told police that the crash was caused by an SUV that appeared to be speeding at the time of the incident.

Police say five vehicles were hit and damaged in a nearby parking lot leading to five people needing to receive medical treatment for undisclosed injuries.

The driver of the SUV, who is believed to be its registered owner, was seen leaving the scene on foot but officers who spent the evening looking were unable to locate the driver.

Officials say that they are not planning to release any more information about the incident and are not identifying the driver at this time but do ask that the driver come forward.
