Court deems Oshkosh residence a ‘public nuisance’, orders it to be closed after continued drug-related problems

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A residence in Oshkosh that has reportedly had continuous drug-related problems has been ordered by a court to be closed and no one is allowed to live there.

The Oshkosh Police Department says it is working with the attorney’s office regarding the residence on 1402 Walnut Street. The Winnebago County Circuit Court has reportedly issued an order to close the residence due to the continued ‘drug-related problems’.

It was also reportedly deemed as a public nuisance. The court order says that the property and premises are closed and no one is allowed to access, visit, occupy or reside there, according to the police department.

Both the City of Oshkosh and the police department can enter the property at any time to make sure there is compliance with the court order.

This comes after a drug investigation that resulted in seven arrests back on June 6. No additional information was provided.
