From Storm Team 5…
The wait is finally over, the draft footprint finally opens to the public this afternoon, with the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft set to begin tonight at 7pm!
We had some scattered showers earlier this morning, but now skies are just mostly cloudy with a few isolated showers out there. If you are heading out to the draft today, plan on mainly dry conditions with cloudy skies, just mentioning a small chance of a passing sprinkle or light shower especially early on in the afternoon. Temperatures today will top out in the upper 50s around Titletown, sweater weather it is out there!
As round 1 gets underway, plan on temperatures cooling into the middle 50s with mostly cloudy skies. If the Packers hold onto the 23rd overall, which should occur roughly around 10pm, temperature will cool into the upper 40s, staying mostly cloudy.
At this time, widespread rain will be building well off to our north and west into far central and western Wisconsin. This will not move in until overnight Thursday well after midnight into Friday morning.
Widespread rain will continue Friday morning, so if you are planning on going to the draft campus when it opens at 11am, plan to have the rain jacket or umbrella handy. Thankfully, for the afternoon, it looks drier but remaining cloudy. Breezy north winds between 10-20mph will keep highs seasonally cool in the lower 50s.
The best day still will be Saturday! Few morning clouds, turning over to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures back up to our seasonal average in the upper 50s with light winds. Brad Paisley concert takes place about an hour after the end of round 7, and the weather is looking great!
