TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire in Two Rivers on Thursday night resulted in an estimated $250,000 in damages and displaced four residents and their pets from the home.
According to a Two Rivers Volunteer Fire Department release, fire crews responded around 8:23 p.m. on Thursday at 7218 County Road O for a reported fire.

Engine 5 arrived at the scene, reporting heavy smoke and fire from the rooftop, and responders accounted for the family members and pets to confirm that nobody was left inside.
Crews from nearly 20 agencies responded to help provide fire suppression efforts, assistance to the family and other resources to people on the scene.
The units worked to extinguish the fire and minimize damage, and a MABAS Box Card 19-1-2 was activated, which turned the response to a second alarm for tenders and a first alarm for other resources.

Kelmann Restoration was called to help secure the scene and assist the family, who were displaced from their home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported amongst residents or responders.
The fire, believed to have started in the chimney area of their wood-burning fireplace, caused an estimated $250,000 in damages.
