GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – During the morning hours on Sunday, January 26, a wrong-way driver caused alarm on I-41 in Grand Chute.
According to the Grand Chute Police Department’s Facebook post, Outagamie County 911 received several calls about a dangerous driver.

The post says officers quickly rushed to I-41 and after just a short time, one officer spotted the vehicle driving south in the northbound lanes near W. Wisconsin Ave.
The officer managed to safely stop the car after it had traveled nearly four miles in the wrong direction. The driver was arrested for drunk driving.
Authorities thanked the citizens for reporting the incident quickly and praised the officers for their fast response, which likely prevented a serious accident.
