Green alert issued in Manitowoc for missing 43-year-old veteran

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Manitowoc say a green alert has been issued as the community is asked to look out for a missing veteran at risk.

According to a release from the Manitowoc Police Department, 43-year-old Jason R. Neumann was reported missing after his 2019 Toyota 4Runner SUV was found by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office in a shallow water section of Lake Michigan near the Village of Cleveland.

Despite being reported missing on Tuesday, Neumann is believed to have actually gone missing on Monday.

Law enforcement says they have checked his home and he has not yet been found. Neumann is described as being a white man who stands at 5’8″ and weighs about 220 lbs.

He has blondish hair that is shorter on the sides, longer on top, and parted on the side. He also has blue eyes and an AIRBORN symbol tattoo on one of his upper arms.

Neumann has reportedly not recently been seen by anyone so there is no description of what he could possibly be wearing.
