Green Bay firefighter remembered for 17 Years of service after line-of-duty death

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is mourning the line-of-duty death of Engineer and Paramedic Tyler Kreiter, 43, who has passed away.

According to a Facebook post from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, Tyler was a dedicated member of the department for 17 years and was stationed at Fire Station 6 on West Mason Street.

They say he was known for his bravery, determination, and commitment to service and exemplified the core values of a Green Bay Metro Firefighter.

“Tyler’s courage in the line of duty was matched only by the strength he showed in his fight against cancer,” the department shared in the Facebook post.
