GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Leicht Memorial Park in downtown Green Bay was the place to catch some good tunes on Wednesday evening.
The city of Green Bay and On Broadway Inc. held their ‘Draft City Music Fest,’ an opportunity for them to showcase downtown Green Bay to all the people visiting Northeast Wisconsin for the NFL draft.
“This is really about creating something for the residents and the people who live here,” said Brian Johnson, Green Bay’s common council president and president & CEO of On Broadway, Inc. “It’s the type of quality of life experience that we get to experience all summer long.”
The event featured a diverse group of musical artists, everything from punk rock to Latin music to a Luke Combs tribute band from the United Kingdom. Long Island hip-hop group De La Sol was the headliner.
The event also featured food trucks, kids’ activities including a bouncy house, and a special appearance from Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing that I wouldn’t want to miss,” Valentine told Local 5 News. “It’s a fanbase like no other.”
