House fire in Manitowoc cleared within two hours of suppression efforts

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire in Manitowoc on Friday afternoon was quickly contained via the efforts of multiple agencies.

The Manitowoc Fire Department said it was dispatched to a fire at 1630 South 10th Street around 1:17 p.m. and crews found a 1.5-story home with smoke from both the front and back.

Command upgraded the situation to a Working Still 7-1-1 as Truck 1 found the base of the flames, directing the point of entry. A search revealed nobody was home, and fire suppression efforts were performed and the scene was cleared within two hours.

The Two Rivers, Branch and Newton Fire Departments helped as mutual aid units, as no injuries were reported.
