OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A man was arrested early Friday morning after he allegedly fired a gun into an occupied Oshkosh business, hitting and injuring one person.
Around 1:50 a.m. on April 18, officers with the Oshkosh Police Department were called to the 400 block of North Main Street for reports of shots fired.

Officers say that a 39-year-old man from Oshkosh allegedly fired a gun into a local business that had multiple people inside. When officers arrived, they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The suspect had reportedly fled on foot.
After getting a description of the suspect, the 39-year-old man was taken into custody around 2:15 a.m. in Oshkosh. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the apprehension of the suspect.
The man was taken to jail for attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive, officers noted.
