Man found asleep behind the wheel of construction vehicle in Wisconsin, arrested for 2nd OWI

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A man admitted to Wisconsin officers that he had been drinking after he was found sleeping in a construction vehicle on Sunday morning.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, around 2:10 a.m. on January 12, officers were sent to the 200 block of West Mifflin Street.

A security guard reportedly told officers that they found an unresponsive man in a running front-end loader.

The man allegedly admitted to officers that he had been drinking. Officers also stated that he mentioned his vehicle wouldn’t start and needed a “warm place to sleep.”

After being taken to a local hospital for a blood draw, the man was arrested for OWI – Second Offense. He was also cited for trespassing.
