Neenah Police Department urges extra caution while driving after responding to several crashes during snowstorm

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – As snow continues to fall amidst Wednesday’s winter storm, officials are seeing numerous reports all over Winnebago County and other surrounding areas.

The Neenah Police Department says that as of 6:12 p.m. on Wednesday, they’ve responded to seven incidents within city limits, and are urging extra driving caution due to the road conditions.

“Honest Abe is watching the corner of Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue probably thinking, ‘Honestly, March, this is quite the icy cold blast you are sending after the bit of warm-up,'” the post said.

The post also added that as snow melts and high wind speeds continue alongside dropping temperatures, ice could form very quickly without warning.

Drivers are urged to go slower and keep extra space between themselves and other cars.
