GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Parkinson’s Association held its second annual Pitching for Parkinson’s event on Thursday in Grand Chute as part of its efforts to increase the community’s awareness of the disease.
The event also is an effort to show support for those who are living with the disease, and while merely a coincidence, the event came just two days after former Packers QB Brett Favre announced his diagnosis, something that was on the minds of attendees.
“Brett Favre’s Parkinson’s was certainly due to repetitive injuries to his brain,” Dr. Rolf Lulloff, co-founder of the Brain Center of Green Bay said. “You do the things that give them the support and love and do as much as you can.”

Dr. Lulloff emphasized that it’s a fight, with Parkinson’s as the target, and that they’ll continue to do all they can to win that battle.
“We are going to fight the enemy,” Dr. Lulloff said. “We’re going to challenge it with good exercise and with love and support.”
The event was free to those who are living with Parkinson’s and their relatives, caregivers and friends. For more information, visit the Wisconsin Parkinson’s Association website.
