Snow to start this Sunday; cooler temps for now

The latest Northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Low pressure has moved through the central part of the country and made a big impact with dozens of tornado outbreaks followed by blizzard warnings and gusty winds.

For us, this system initially brought us heavy rain and thunderstorms and we were warm on the front end of this system. For today, we are on the backend of this system, where a cold front dropped through, which turned our winds out of the northwest. With gusts reaching up to 30mph this afternoon, these chilly winds are pulling in much cooler air! Highs today will only get into the upper 30s and low 40s.

Now, since we are colder today, many temps this morning are below the freezing mark. This has made us see the change over from rain to light snowfall. Expect snow to continue throughout the rest of this morning before high pressure eventually builds in to our west finally getting rid of this system and bringing in more sunshine!

By tomorrow, we warm right back up with highs back into the 50s!
