GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The aroma of cinnamon, bacon, bourbon, and cherries will fill the air this Friday as downtown Green Bay plays host to one of the most flavorful events of the year: the Kringle Combine.
This delicious showdown, happening April 25th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Washington Street, pits five locally inspired kringles against each other in a culinary contest where you decide the winner, including one from your very own WFRV Local 5.
The event is part of the larger Booyah Battle, and entry to the tasting zone requires only a $5 minimum donation to the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay.

Meet the 2025 Kringle Combine Contenders:
1. First Round French Toast
Team: Local 5 Live (Lisa, Millaine & Jordan)
This cozy creation blends cinnamon cream cheese with a cinnamon sugar coating, topped off with Cinnamon Toast Crunch streusel and maple drizzle. It’s breakfast, dessert, and nostalgia all rolled into one.
2. Bacon Jalapeño Popper
Team: Mad Dog & Merrill
Bold and savory, this kringle features a smoky bacon and jalapeño cream cheese filling, seasoned with Up Nort Peppery spice and finished with a creamy cheese topping. It’s the perfect mix of heat and comfort.
3. Bourbon Banana Bliss
Team: 95.9 KISS FM (Otis, Katie & Nick)
Bananas Foster meets bakery bliss. A rich custard made with Woodford Reserve bourbon is layered inside, topped with bourbon icing and caramel drizzle for an indulgent experience.
4. Hazelnut Mocha
Team: Chef Jyll Everman
This elegant entry pairs a mocha cream center with Nutella drizzle, crushed hazelnuts, and a dash of sea salt — perfect for coffee lovers and chocolate connoisseurs alike.
5. She’s My Cherry Pie
Team: The Glam Band
A rock-and-roll tribute with a cause. This kringle boasts a sweet cherry and Dutch crumble filling, light blue icing in support of Prostate Cancer Awareness, and a sparkle of edible glitter to top it off.
