STOUGHTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 78-year-old driver from southern Wisconsin was pronounced dead at a local hospital after crashing into a tree on Friday afternoon.
The single-vehicle crash happened on Friday, April 11, around 12:50 p.m. in the 500 block of Veterans Road, the Stoughton Police Department stated in a release.

An initial investigation showed that the driver left the road and hit a tree. The 78-year-old driver from the Stoughton area was taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing. The Stoughton Fire Department and Dane County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the crash.
